DESCRIPTION:Overview:\nThe Bamboo Joineries workshop is a two day immersive learning experience that\noffers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of bamboo joineries , while engaging in\na unique self-inquiry in the company of an international team of mentors. The workshop\ntakes place in Auroville, a dynamic international community committed to sustainable\nliving, radical experimentation and personal development.\nBENEFITS & WHO IS THIS FOR?\nThe Bamboo Joineries workshop is perfect for Environmentalist, Green Practitioners\nand anyone who wants to gain skills on sustainable lifestyle and hands-on experience\nworking with bamboo, one of the most eco-friendly building materials, while also\nexploring various aspects of sustainable living. It is for anyone who is concerned about\nbuilding a more environmentally sustainable world. (e.g. engineers, architects,\ntechnicians, supervisors, masons, students and laymen).\nAn essential aspect of building a more sustainable world is the quality of the\nconsciousness we bring to it.  Our outer environment – whether built or natural – reflects\nthe state of our inner awareness.\nPROGRAMME OUTLINE\nThe Bamboo Joineries workshop will take place over 2 days, covering full day intensive\nsessions offered daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.  The sessions are offered to cover various\ntypes of joineries used namely\n\nFish Mouth\nOverlap\nBird mouth\nRope\nBamboo Nail\n\nThings to bring for the workshop, (Optional)\n\nLoose and comfortable clothes for Site Work;\nAir Mask;\nEar plugs;\nA Cap;\nEye Protective Goggles;\nA Book and a Pen\nTorch light\n\nGENERAL INFORMATION\nProgramme Rate: Rs. 4700 * Includes:\n\nLunch for 2 days ( vegetarian meals)\nRaw materials\nRefreshments twice a day\nStationaries\nCertificate of attendance\n\n1. Terms: 50% deposit of workshop fee required on booking with the balance payable\nprior to commencement of the workshop.\n2. Cancellation: Up to 2 weeks before workshop commencement we retain 25% of\ntotal fee due.\nFrom 2 days to workshop commencement we retain the 50% total fee.\n3. Notes: All booking communication is completed in writing by email.\nAuroville has a strict no alcohol or drugs policy. Anyone disregarding these rules\nwill be requested to leave the community immediately and no refunds will apply.\n
